Question Email to Phone

Please Login to Remove!

Two questions:

1) is there a site or a way to know which carrier a cell phone number is calling me from (domestic AND international)? Not only will it help me know who's "in-calling" me (and who isn't), but I want to translate their number into an email and save the text msg charges.

2) I have a list (that I found here) of most of the carriers around the world and how to translate their numbers to email addresses. That said, if I have a friend who is on Movistar in Spain and it says:

[email address]

what number I start with? If I am calling from a phone I would dial:

011 34 + 9 digits

If I was on a mobil or landline in Spain, I could either dial:

34 + 9 digits

Or just the 9 digits.

So, I'm trying to determine what to put in the "number" part of the [email address] part.

Any ideas?

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

In the US you can out in 1 and then the 9 digits. Its probably the same in Spain. 34 and the the 9 digits.

I tried that and haven't had a response yet. Maybe my friend just hasn't replied, or maybe it didn't work. Will keep at it.

Still trying to figure out how to tell what carriers people are using.......

They are traveling and not reachable by phone, so right now I can't ask them.
