Default Have messages from other (non BES) accounts stay seperate

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8700G on T-Mobile thru BES. I also have an Internet mail account (gmail) setup on my device. I can send and receive email fine and I see if I look at my Gmail message folder it has just my Gmail messages in it, no BES email. But in my main message folder where my BES email goes, I also see my Gmail mail in there. Is there a way to keep them totally seperate so that I have one spot for work messges, and the other spot for gmail messages? Its almost there with seperating the accounts, but is there a way to keep them entirely seperate on the device? I get a ton of personal email that I don't want to have to filter thru all day while I am at work.

No. The "Messages" folder received all inbound messages. BES, BIS, SMS, they all go there.

My workaround to this issue was to create a search to just view the Inbox folder (I use BES to connect the BB to my work Exchange folder).

Pretty simple to create a search and assign a hotkey (I did ALT-M for MyInbox). Two keystrokes later you're just looking at your Inbox only. (A second reason I did this was the Hide Folders option doesn't seem to hide my filtered mail to the subfolders on the BB).

Thanks for the tip hokie123. I had the same question as the OP about BES email.
