Put the cursor on the application you want to hide. Push "alt" then click the thumb wheel. Choose "hide application".

Thumbs up Thanks

Thank you for your help.

does this function merely hide the icon or is it completely removed?

is it possible to completely remove that icon and its contents from the device?

thank you for helping me with these rudementary questions.

hiding your icon does just that--hides the icon. That is the question you asked. If you want it removed, go to options and applications, and delete those you don't want.

JSanders is correct. However, if the programs are provided by your cell phone company (like t-mobile?), they may (will?) come back sooner or later.

Go ahead and try deleting them, but now you know why they come back, and how to hide them!
