I also ditched the bluetooth headsets and went back to wired.
I looked at two, theBoom and the Etymotic ety*com. I decided on the latter because of the size, both had very good reviews as far as incoming/outgoing sound and noise cancellation. It sounds great. When driving with it most people think I'm sitting in a quite office.
The downside with the etycom is the boom tends to drift down and needs to be repositioned. If you plan to use it outside, it needs a windsock which they provide. Otherwise the slightest wind makes the person on the other end think your in a blizzard. It meets my expectations.
Go to
HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource and look for the AX PRO or modified AX headset.
Home reviewed it. In short, someone took the etycom boom and stuck it to a Nextlink AX2 bluetooth headset. The reviews seems to be very good. You can get instructions for DYI or buy one from someone who does the modifications.
