I'm in almost the same boat. My current 7105t is going to be doing backup duty while the 8100 becomes my main device. DN 4.2 is going to make it a simple transition whenever the urge strikes me. Kinda like a woman changing her purse.

downloaded it last night. Seems to work well with my 8700 minus the options that won't work for it.

I like the new software too. I have a question...I did a backup using 4.2 and now I'm getting messages the the backup software can't back up the RMS databases on the device...they aren't recognized. Anyone know what this is or how to fix?

so what does this mean if I am using a 7105t now? Jus plug and play and the 8100 will work without going through configs for AOL or work email?
