Default 7130e screen

Please Login to Remove!

I know this has been mentioned somewhere, just can't find it. Anyway to enhance the screen so that it could be somewhat seen in daylight. My brightness is set at 80% and tried it at 100% to no avail. It's just so hard to read in daylight.

Thanks!

Nope, nothing you can do. Just be glad you don't have a 7100t like me. My screen is completely washed out in direct sunlight.

My 7130c seems to be perfect in direct sunlight. Much better than the slvr! You can't even see that thing's screen in sunlight.

Press (and release) the power button and the screen gets temporarily brighter. I can read it fine in the sun with dark sunglasses on after I do this....

With the screen on, press the power button (the recessed one at the top of the unit) once.

I am in the construction industry and spend a lot of time outdoors. I have the same problem. Oddly the 8700's series works much better in bright light. Must be a better technology. The older 7250 is excellent in direct sunlight.

The new 8703e has a light sensitive screen so it might be better.

I haven't tried the tip from the posters above yet, but that might help.
