Cingular and BWC
I am a Cingular Blackberry 7280 user - using BWC and BES on the East Coast (MD/DC area) I am noticing a problem with Cingular BWC. It is taking a long time for the BWC to receive and send messages to my handheld. It's been taking between 15 minutes to an hour before I get messages. Is anyone expericing this problem as it has been going on for a couple of days. ( i have re-sent my service book a couple of times and I got them fine, but the problem still exists)

Am wondering if Cingular is undergoing some sort of upgrade on their BWC?

Also - I am getting strange messages sent to my blackberry with an attachment that looks like a virus embedded in it. I know it's not possible for a virus to screw up my blackberry.. how come the bwc cannot filter those e-mails with unusual attachments before it's been sent.

Thanks for any feedback y'all people have in mind in regards to why there's delays with the BWC?

I actually posted about this yesterday, I'm not sure if BWC is controlled by the carriers or a third party source but in my case I'm a Rogers Wireless customer and I've been have the same BWC problems for about two days now as well. In my case it might have to do with Rogers updating their server for public MDS. I've noticed a couple posts from ATT Wireless users who've also been having similar BWC issues, so I don't think its a Cingular thing...

Someone from another Blackberry forum mentioned that it may be that Cingular is upgrading something for their merger with the ATT network.

That seems logical - so, I'm gonna give it a few days for them to complete everything and hope messages will move much faster.
