I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with my camera....set to the highest resolution and superfine, this is what comes out:

Is that kind of awful quality normal!?

Super-Fine is a trick. Put it on normal and you'll get [slightly] better images.

You should have better than that. Try putting it on normal and see what happens. If all else fails, go back to a T-Mobile store and check out what kind of pictures their demo unit takes.

yes - mine takes much better pictures. I'd say there is something wrong with the focus (not sure if there is some sort of autofocusing on these.) Seems like there is something blocking (partially maybe) the sensor on the back - the little square thing.

Either that, or pull a Hubble and give it some corrective lenses

Your lens is obviously out of focus. Is this lens fixed focus? If so, there IS a possability your lens is defective..

Bad lens, even zoomed in and at Superfine my 8100 does not take pics like that, It's severely out of focus. Definitely go back to T-Mo and compare with another.

Yes, those are terrible pictures. Unless you were cracked out on caffeine and couldn't stop shaking to snap the pictures, there's something wrong with the camera.

Mine gets dirty all the time and I have to clean it with a soft cloth. It makes a big difference.

No way are your pics supposed to look like that. Take it back and get yourself a brand new one...and snap away.
