Man this is frustrating. I tried the 7130e Evdo, was screaming fast! But sprint has no 8700 or no plans to do the pearl.

I have had nothing but great experiences here in L.A. With Sprint, EXCEPT for the fact that it takes them forever to get the latest hardware.

I'm getting the 8100 as I have a tomob Sidekick 2 that I can't wait to chuck. But I rather be 87XX or 81XX on Sprint.

I rarely if ever get dropped calls. I've got the Treo 650, (but don't like that phone,).

Anyone have any intel on Sprints release of new blackberries models?

And could I get a Verizon 8700 unlocked to work on Sprint? Is that even poss?

An unlocked Verizon BB will not be allowed to work on Sprint. Bummer.

Actually the keyboard is exactly the same, the only difference is the color of the middle three columns of keys are all silver as opposed to being half black/silver on the Tmobile version. And that silver color extends all the way down to the bottom of the device. I can see that being an optical illusion causing BG and others to think its actually curved.

Although some carriers put out prototype photos on the net just to build interest in the device before release. That could be the case with this photo.

I can't seem to register my 8100 on cingular it registors on the host routing table but i can't seem to send emails please advise if you have any ideas.

you have to log onto the email setup and change which pin the emails are getting sent out to....


i have the pearl on cingular.... MMS works, web works, medianet works.... also who needs bbmessenger... verichat works just fine... also you can use google talk with the with yahoo transport in it...

I talked to several reps who have heard that the 8100 model for cingular may not include Camera or/and might include push to talk.

Just thought I would add my 2 cents for whats its worth.

I bought mine from TMO and unlocked it, forget waiting until 1stQ of next year for it, and who needs push to talk?!
