Default HTML Emails!!

Please Login to Remove!

AHH! After activating my new 8703e, and upgrading to Verizon's newer Blackberry Internet Service (2.0 or something?), I received a few emails from customers and PayPal and immediately noticed that the html is displayed instead of rendering it and only displaying the text.

This is NOT how it was on my 7250 and is a huge pain in the a** now! Is there ANY way to fix this so it renders the html??!??!

Nope. It's a security feature to prevent things like HTML phishing.

And for the record, your 7250 couldn't display HTML, either.

OK well I'm really pissed off about the BIS 2.0 service. I was using the older service until I switched to my 8703e and when I was on the older service HTML emails from PayPal would come through fine. Now when I get an email from PayPal notifying me that I have received money, the emails are full of HTML garbage! Its a few screens long and its such a pain in the ass to scroll through just so I can see how much money I received.

Why the hell did this change with BIS 2.0??? Is there any way to go back to the old version??? I KNOW I'm not the only one who wants this fixed.

Isn't there any setting in your PayPal account where you can tell it to send you plain text instead of HTML? I don't use PayPal, so I don't know, but on most web services you can tell it to send plain text.

That was the first thing I checked when this started happening. I couldnt find an option anywhere in my account settings for plain text emails.

Maybe I should start calling or emailing Verizon telling them to try to fix this somehow? Would this actually be an issue with Verizon Wireless issue or with RIM?

Oh crap! There is actually an option for plain text email notifications from PayPal! I don't know how I missed this the first time.

PayPal > Profile > Notifications > Notification Format for Emails

**Looks like you found it anyway
