Default BlackBerry Connect on Nokia E62 on Rogers

Please Login to Remove!

I finally got it working. Meh its actually not too bad. I am getting used to it. If you are you Rogers and want to do it you need to choose Americas as your Region, and Cingular as your provider to download the software. If you choose Rogers it will say it is unavailable. go into the Email settings once its installed to get the PIN and away you go. Enjoy.

Does the E62 using BB Connect sync contacts, tasks and memos along with e-mail and calendar or only e-mail and calendar?

Default Missing some Blackberry features

Although the phone will sync Email and Calandar, it will not sync contacts and tasks.

In addition, the keyboard keys are close together making it hard to type.

On the plus side, the display is great, and the voice quality and functionality is great.

Regarding calendar....if you get a meeting invite can you accept, decline or tentative that invite? Also, can you send a meeting invitation to someone and have them accept, decline or tentative?

You *should* be able to get that calendar functionality. Basically BB Connect gives you BES 3.6 equivalent functions; wireless e-mail and calendar (including inviting/aceepting, etc.) and the rest of the PIM has to be synced via USB.

Cool Use of blackberry messenger on E62

I am considering the nokia e62 with bb connect. I saw somewhere that you are not able to PIN using this device. Are you able to operate bb messenger through this device?

BBC doesn't give you that option.

I'm testing this device now. Pin to Pin doesn't work with this model. Awaiting info from Nokia as to what IT Policy restrictions this supports when on a BES. Calendar and Inbox sync only. Poster above is correct, 3.6 functionality. 1st quarter next year, BBConnect will support 4.0. Neat device, non efficent interface, but it's pretty. Web browser is awesome.. as an email machine I wouldn't trade it from my genuine BB.

IT policy will only put Auto Lock E61 as far as I can tell. Our limit is set to 60 min. As far as installing apps and accessing sites should be no problem.
