It will
not likely work, it appears to be three conductor (two black bands on the 2.5mm male side) and for stereo it will need to be a properly constructed four conductor (three black bands on the male side) in order for it to play true stereo, although it seems that it will reverse the left and right tracks but stereo none the less.
