Default How long is it taking everyone to get a FULL charge?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my Pearl and I gave it a FULL overnight charge, then drained the battery down to 5% over the next 1.5 days [as I am told is good to calibrate the battery]. I am now giving it a full recharge but I am SHOCKED at how fast it is charging back up. It has gone from 5% to 80% in just 45 minutes. Is this normal to be able to get a full charge in just 1 hour? Thanks.

My BB charges fully in about an hour and a half and lasts me for over 2 days?
I found it kind of weird too, but hey! it works and it works darn well.

Yea I don't know exactly how long it does for me cause I put it on the charger before I go to bed and pull it off once I get up but when I first got it I remember it took about a hour or so to charge the whole thing up

I charge mine up all night. It seems to hold a charge for a long time!

It is a rather small battery and should not take very long to charge. The Pearl uses very little power so it does not need a bigger battery. Small capacity batteries take very little time to charge.

No matter what anyone says, I still think it is poor judgement to run a L-Ion battery down to near empty and it will only shorten the battery life. No "conditioning" will greatly increase the capacity of a L-Ion battery.

my 7100i was the fastest it would go from 5% to 100% in about 20 minutes. My pearl takes about 1 hour to go from 5% to 100% so yes thats perfectly normal

I agree. You should never let a Li-Ion battery run under 50% capacity if at all possible.
