Hi all,
I have my pearl checking for email on a couple of accounts. After I read the mail on my phone, I have the option to delete from phone, or from both phone and server.
Is there a way the pearl can check the server, and if it doesn't see the messages on the server anymore, then to auto delete them from the phone?

For example: If I had 20 emails on my email servers, the pearl would show all 20 emails, but then if I use my main PC to collect all emails off the servers, and then delete them off the servers, I would like the pearl to reflect that I did this, and no longer have the same 20 messages listed on it. This would stop me from having to read every email twice, to verify I have seen it, prior to deleting it from the pearl.

Can BB do this? My old pocket PC could, Cingular 8125. BB wouldn't want to be up staged by a simple pocket PC, would it?

BES (bb enterprise service) can for sure, it has mailbox reconilication and is tied into your enterprise email server. I think its also possible via BIS (bb internet service) via DM (desktop manager). DM can be configured to mirror MS Outlook on your desktop. DM then handles the pushing/reconciling of emails to your BB, along with Notes, Contacts and Calendar items I think. This method would require that your PC be online 24-7 though.

Enterprise server for small business, I saw quoted here for 1500 bucks! Cmon' Who really needs their email on their phone for 1500 bucks? They should have a solution for the average Joe(one person) user.

The BES service is a possibility, but I didn't think it was worth the monthly fee, 14.99 - 19.99 on top of my cell phone monthly fees.

The desktop manager idea is a possibility, as I have a home automation computer running 24/7 so I could host it on there. BUT, my main machine that collects the emails is not on 24/7, so there is definitely a problem there. Not to mention the fact that I HATE OUTLOOK, and do not use their crappy email program. Long story, but I have no intention of giving outlook another shot at loosing stuff.

My pocket PC was able to do this, without any additional tricks or software, looks like BB is a few beats behind.
