Any ideas on how to improve the typing capabilities of a third-party app?

For example, when my users are typing notes, they rely on AutoText for self-correction and short-hand typing. But Auto-Text seems to only work with the handheld applications and not the 3rd party apps.

I would like our app to type consistently with the BlackBerry's apps. Do I have to create something myself or is there something that will allow me to utilize the existing typing logic already on the BlackBerry?

our app has the predictive text in it without us doing anything special. what version of the jde are you using? i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it's not something you have to activate in your apps.

Take a look at the API docs, I think I remember seeing an autotext compatible field. Can't remember exactly which class it was though.
