Default Holux GPS 236

Please Login to Remove!

Last week I bought the Holux GPSLIM 236 bluetooth receiver. I am running Telenav on an 8700c with it. I must say, it calculates routes faster than the navi systems in any of my 3 cars....Also, I have found it to be EXTREMELY accurate.

Boots up from a cold start in about 45 seconds and does a warm boot in about 5 seconds.

Paid 71 bucks with shipping for it...

Congratulations. Ddi you see my page on Spot and Wayfinder. If Telenav would only call me back? I think their POI database is better in the US than Wayfinder from what I have heard.

The poi stuff is really good. A lot of good category breakdowns. They need to work on their user interface a little. Overall its pretty damn good for a bb program and even pretty good for a base external gps device, def comparable to an entry level external unit with respect to features. The map data however is excellent thus far. They need to add live traffic too

I am very impressed with Wayfinder even with its limits in terms of how quickly it responds and the way it works overall. Never had a GPS in my car before.

yeah...every since I had a GPS in my car, I can't live without it.. I find myself using the NAVI even when I am in my own neighborhood and know exactly where I am going...But as for the functionality..I would highly recommend the TELENAV is you have not tried it yet, they give you a 30 day free trial..I think you will find it to be a great service..And I have a feeling they will be doing much more in the way of features in the future..

Are you able to use this via Bluetooth or do you have to use USB with the 8700?

Once I started using Telenav on my old BB7100i I became hooked quite easily. I thought that I wouldnxxx8217;t need the use of a GPS but found myself using it more and more.

Now Ixxx8217;m waiting on my GPS 236 receiver to arrive so I can enjoy Telenav again.

I just got my 236b today but I can't get gps viewer to work. Anyone know how to get it working? I got my 8100 and the 236b to pair within seconds, so that's not an issue.
