Default Arrgh no browser icon

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so I had to take my BB 7250 to sprint for service. The trim piece around the screen came off. Sprint's solution was to give me a different BB. When I got the new one back to work, I updated it w/ the saved info from my old one. Before I started there was no browser icon, and there was not one afterward.

I tried to use "enterprise activation" to get it, but it cant connect to the server.

I called Sprint and they said that everything is where it should be and they can't see why it wont activate or get the icon.

Any help from you guys would be great.

BTW, I searched and didnt find anything that would help.

go to options, advanced options, host routing table, then click the trackwheel and click "register now" this should register you on the network and push all the data applications to your blackberry

Well sprint decided that I didnt have the right stuff on my plan.

I had been using the PowerVision, but the rep told me that I had to have the BB Data plan for it to work right. That added another 39.99 to my plan.

I'm not a happy camper.

Not happy the carrier required to pay for the proper service for the device? You are correct - shame on Sprint....

Try logging onto your BB's account and send Service Books. Then take the battery out and put it back in...should work...if not try the above with HRT Editor and Register Now...

How it helps.

No, not happy that when I originally set up my account that the CSR didn't tell me that the BB plan was required. If I had known about it in the beginning than it would have made things just a little easier.

Thanks for the ethics lesson.

Those of us on GSM have been required to use Blackberry data plans for quite some time now for data. I'm not surprised that the CDMA carriers would be cleaning up their loopholes.

I had the same problem when I switch BB models. Couldn't get my internet icon. I had the Powervision package on my 7250 and it worked like a champ. When I went to my 7130e, I had to get the BB package. According to Sprint, this is because they are now being required by RIM to ensure that anyone with a BB is using a BB Data package. Not sure if this has something to do with RIM's lawsuit issues or not.

I had no problem with getting the plan, my only gripe is no one can tell me what are all the bells and whistles I get with the package. (other than I can tether my BB to my modem for free).

Off to search......

You just need the USB cable and the Sprint Connection Manager software available on Sprint's website.
