I just wanted to see what carrier everybody is using. I just recently switched to T-Mobile from Cingular when I got the Pearl last week for my b-day. I am extremely happy with the service so far. I was dropping calls like crazy with Cingular. No complaints yet for T-Mobile. I think I made a good choice, just wanted to see what everybody else was using.

T-Mo here but have never had any bones with Cingular... Sprint and Verizon are a whole nother story

T-Mo is great if you love BB's... They always get the new bb's and the data price cant be beat!

I have had all the carriers here in San Francisco. ATT, Sprint, Cingular, Verizon, T-Mobile.

IMHO T-Mo is the best I have ever had. The signal is good for me [in SF T-Mo is not that good for some, but I have NOT had problems].

I like their plans, best in the business near as I can tell. The $20 unlimited data plan cannot be beat.

Perhaps most important, they have odd customer service. I say odd because it is phenomenal. When you call tech support or custo service it is almost like you have a direct line to them and you are their only customer.

They are known for spending as much time on the phone with you as necessary to solve your problem. There are posts here and on other forums where they say that they spent one to three hours on the phone with tech support.

They are professional, courteous and caring. Clearly T-Mo decided to make an effort to provide great customer service.

Far as I'm concerned, I would pay more for anything if I know customer service is good. T-Mo prices are good and they have stellar custo service. Can't get better than that.

I have T-Mobile, but I don't have any problem with Cingular. The nice thing about them both, is they have the same type of network. When I lose my T-mo signal, I usually pick up a Cingular signal.

vote for TMO.
Had Nextel and Verizon. Verizon is winner for sure but TMO is a good second in coverage and GSM internationalism sexiness is a plus.

another T-MO. had cingular but that was before I got into the bbs so it may not be relevent. T-Mo has been awesome: coverage and customer service.

I'm now with T-Mobile and absolutely love it. The prices are awesome and the customer service is an A+. Coverage is very good, and when I don't have T-Mobile I usually pick up Cingular's network. I recently converted from Nextel. (Extended Coverage SUCKED (major roads GOOD, Everything else, BAD)) Nextel lost the good stuff when they merged with Sprint, their prices went up and the customer service went down. And for Verizon, I was with them and their Razor for two days, that should explain them.

If you want the best prices, T-mobile is the way to go. I have it myself too. If you want the best coverage, I will say Cingular and Verizon.

well, i've been with cingular for about 10 years, and i've never had any problem. i've always had full service at home (sacramento, ca) and i even have full service up in the santa cruz mountains where i go to school.

personally, in my hometown, i had tmobile for a week when i was trying out a sidekick and i got NO service whatsoever. also, tmobile only gets service on one side of my school's campus in santa cruz, so for me, cingular is the only way to go.

T-Mobile, switched from Cingular. Like T-mobile a couple of minor issues. Where I live (upstate NY) no EDGE only get GPRS, thats not too big of a deal. Only real problem I am having is I cannot get any of the 3rd party apps like Yak-on, to work, even though I have the correct TCP settings. I have gone so far to wipe and re-load my 8100, same problem. I can get to Wap sites so wap is working. I have a feeling it is the T-mo towers in the area are not set up as set up with APN nodes, or not working properly.

But pleased with the T-mo service otherwise, no dropped calls, decent signal strength. Just wish the APN connections would work.

I have T-Mobile. $49.99 family plan, 1000 shared minutes, with two BB unlimited email/internet phones. What a deal.
