I know there has got to be a simple explaination to this right in front of me, but I'm having one of those moments where I can't see it! The coffee has not kicked in yet

The 'send' option has disappeared from my BB's dialog box when I try to reply to emails in my inbox. The only things I could do is "save draft", add recipients, edit autotext or go into options.

It's driving me crazy - help!

You are missing the service book.

If you are a BWC user, login to your account and send a new service book

if you are a desktop redirector or BES user cradle the handheld at your PC and generate a new encryption key.

That was it! I downloaded the service book from BWC and I'm back in business. Funnily enough, I deleted the WAP browser service book from my BB yesterday as I am now using the BB html browser. I figured the BWC would send that browser service book back, but there are no new SB's there.

You get the wap service book when you register on the network. Goto Options... Network, click the track wheel and select register now. if you dont see it there goto Options.. Host Routing Table, click track wheel and select register now.

hi,

now, i have the same problem. But i have BES also not just handhelds.
in case i want to reply to a message the was sent by someone who is not included in my addressbook, send is not available in my menu option. i can forward or i can save as draft. if sender is inside the addressbook or i just send an email, send is there.

i have tried the following: removed all service boook and config urable settings with the desktop software then from besadmin i created it again.
i reloaded a previously working config from backup, i removed the addressbook sb and reloaded. none of this worked.

Any idea what should i do?

server is 2.2.3 bb is 7230 with 3.7

Try getting them resent from the BES server

as i wrote, i have tried but did not work..
in fact.. i have erased the entire bb 7230, then added the device to the user.. of course during this new key and service books are transfered. then i sync with desktop. still nothing.

hi,
as i couldn't do anything with the 2 bb, i removed the users from the BES
dir, state db, and from the user profiles and then added them again. as new users the problem does not exist.

sad that i had to do that..
