Question Google Talk?

Please Login to Remove!

I have t-mobile and the unlimited blackberry plan. Does anyone out there know if google talk is free or will this be charged as a texed message?

I think it's charged by how many MB or KB's you us whilw viewing your goole talk. I have msn on mine and it's just like viewing a new web page when you send or receive msgs. It's kinda pricyy that's why I don't use mine anymore.

The Google Talk client from RIM uses your data plan, so you won't be charged any extra with your unlimited plan.

I just got a BB and I thought that since I have unlimited text and the unlimited email and internet there was no way that my bill would have any extra charges. Is this not a safe assumption?

Aside from extra voice/roaming charges, depending on your provider the only additional charge I could foresee is tethering.

Just talked to two t-mobile reps last night just to confirm. YES you do get charged tex charges for each Google talk you send. That sucks t-mobile.

The reps are confusing the client which tmobile provides with google talk if they told you that. Google talk uses data to transmit and receive messages, not SMS. There are no messaging charges for google talk.
