Cool Simulators and BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone. This is my first post here. The users seem very helpful and technical so here is my problem:

In an attempt to learn more about BB I have downloaded the JDE, Handheld Simulator and MDS Simulator. I have also downloaded the 60 day trial BES. Is it possible to connect the Handheld simulator with the 60 day trial BES? Somehow I'm having problems and before I try debugging I want to be certain if it is actually possible. Thanks in advance.

We had tried this scheme with simulator+BES but have no success.
Seems BES needs real BB device, simulator intend for native application development/debugging only.

Yes you can connect the simulator to BES. I don't have the link at the moment, but there is an article on the BlackBerry Technical Knowledge Base on how to do it.

I followed the guide - i installed BES Trial with MDS applications setup and I managed to connect the simulator with the BES because i saw it from the device manager's statistics tab....

HOWEVER what is bothering me is that i can't seem to find how to connect to the MDS. Can someone help me out please? thanks.

Our guy successfully plugged MDS push app to simulator JDE 4.1, but it didin't work with JDE 4.2. Try rollback to JDE/simulator 4.1, remove all 4.2 stuff.

Can you describe me the process of how he has done it? He just started BES and all related MDS services on the same server where he had the simulator? Or did he configure something from the MDS side? Thanks very much
