That is OK. I think it would be great for women who have an 8100 and toss it in their purse. This way it wouldn't bang around and get messed up. Other than that, it would get annoying pulling it out of your pocket and then having to pull it out of the case.

I want something like this also. Looks like it also has a belt clip although it looks really low profile. I could do without the clip.

I'm waiting too - yesterday it was 12/1, today it's 12/14. This is the 5th time they've delayed release of this case. RIM must have lost a ship loaded with Leather Pockets somewhere out at sea

I’ve emailed shopblackberry numerous times over the past few weeks and it’s always some excuse or other. Their latest reply (mike@shopblackberry):

Thank you for contacting the BlackBerry Accessoires.
The products are dispatched from America, so it could come to a delay.
We apologize for that.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

Funny that they delay is because its dispatched from America, the USA section of the site also shows the same stock date estimate!!

I bought a decent slim case on eBay for $14 with shipping. See attached pic.

do a search for "BlackBerry 8100 Pearl OEM Cingular"... several sellers are offering it

downside: no magnet for sleep mode, and the "pearl" rotates when you are sliding the BB in/out
