Default Password Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have just started to lock the hand held and when I went to Sync with the desktop I have used up 9/10 chances for the password and it hasn't accepted the password. What can I do to get to allow the hand held to sync??

rule one on pw......you must press the key twice in a row quickly if your password consists of the second letter on the key.

example: test (the s would involve 2 quick pushes of the a/s key)...while tea (one push of each key)

Since I've never done the wrong password wipe, myself, before I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it's just like the "wipe handheld" option under Security settings. If you have a recent full backup you should be able to restore the full backup. You may or may not have to resend service books, etc. It will leave all the apps on the device and the OS untouched but without any of your data in them.

Do you have a recent backup? If you can't remember your password then you're kind of stuck. Let it wipe and restore your backup.

would have to resend service books to reestablish email accts going to the BB....if you can sync calendar/contacts w/ your desktop then no worries on that

hopefully you hadn't paid for any 3rd party apps......not sure what rules would apply to reloading those....unless you did a backup like John Clark said
