Has anyone tryed to add VAD to a 8700. I was able to add the modules to my 8700 ( i used the modules from 8100 OS). After I loaded the modules, An icon was added to my menu. However, when I click on the icon, I get an error that reads "Error starting net_rim_vad: class 'net.rim.device.internal.vad. VADPrameters' not found. Does anyone have any ideas? Or was this just a bad idea to begin with?

Just a bad idea to begin with. I'm not sure the 8700 is built hardware wise for VAD and if it is why not just wait another month or two until OS 4.2 comes out and try it then.

It's no fun to wait. This is the first time I was able to add the modules. It must have something to do with the OS .377.

Looks like it's calling an internal routine that is located in another module. Most likely in a core module from v4.2. Unless you can find out which module that routine exists and if you can figure out how to also load that module your SOL.

It looks like it was a bad idea. The VAD file seem to need at least 5 other modules to work. DAM!
