The same thing is happening to me. I am a T-Mobile user who had the theme pack installed. After upgrading to the T-Mobile version of OS 4.0 I can only "downgrade" Add-On Themes.

Do these themes work on a 7100g? Will I loose any features or will it now show T-Mobile's logo in the corner of my Cingular phone?

Jaysen,

Any update on your tool to create/modify themes? I like the small icon 7700 theme and would like to modify it for the others that like it here (as well as fix calculator issue).

yes, these work on the "g"

except not quite perfect as the before-mentioned calculator problem arises

Error message under 7700 Small Icon Theme as follows -

Uncaught exception:

Is this unique to me or do others have this problem as well?

Thanks

also i just noticed, im using the 7700 small icons theme on my 7100r, any image set as the home screen, about halfway up the home screen a white haze obscures the picutre (but not any of the icons).

is anyone else having this problem?

I also noticed that images for the home screen on the 'G', using the small icon theme, have a 'haze' on the upper portion of the screen. It's like there is a semi-transparent image in the theme on the upper half of the screen. Kind of annoying, so I stopped using the background images since I preferred the small icons to the default 'g' theme.

Default Themes on the 7100r ... Is all Ok to proceed?

There has been quite a lot of posts for the themes to be downloaded and installed to the 7100r.
Are those quite safe to load now? If so, are they to be dowloaded from the original post on this thread? I was wondering because some people had quite a few problems. Do they slow down the unit?
Also, are the MP3's safe to install as well?
Thanks to everyone.

I'm using the O2 theme and having an issue on the main screen. Things look good except I don't have a new mail/message icon and number. Do I have to turn it on somewhere. TIA..

They never were NOT safe. The only unsafe thing about loading themes are the idiots who are loading them.

Read through the thread. I posted a link from another thread from 'thelloyds' that has all of the themes in it and ALX installation files.

Not anymore than what the List theme does.

MP3s cannot be installed. However, ADPCM ringtones can be. There is another sticky thread describing how to do this and another thread linking you to sites offering free ADPCM ringtones.

I don't have the yellow number and envelope. Is there a way to enable it?

Thanks!

Thumbs down Theme Utility

Any word yet on the status of the theme loader from RIM or on an update for Jaysen's tool?

I'm sure it will be the #1 topic of discussion at next week's Wireless Enterprise Symposium.

i don't think there is a disabling/enabling of this. just make sure you are using OS 4.0 since the theme is not 100% compatible with OS 3.8.

Ok..the only reason why I'm still using OS 3.8 is for the modem function. I've heard upgrading to OS 4 will disable it. Is this true? Thanks!
