Default Beta status

Please Login to Remove!

For everyone who has requested to be in the beta but have not heard back from us, we apologize for the non-response, but the number of requests we've been getting have been a bit overwhelming.

As I mentioned here before, we will be reopening the beta for more users next week. This will likely happen after the .20 build. We'll try to add all who have requested to be in the beta to our regular distribution at that point. You should get the install instruction along with everyone else.

I will also post on this thread when that happens, so if you don't hear from us, please do send an email to [email address].

Thanks,

Kai

I just got that same 503 error as well. They might be updating the servers or making enhancements.

back on. it's an awesome application. if this does become commercial, please please please don't make it a subscription service, a one off payment is fine but with a subscription i feel like i'm being blackmailed and refuse to do it.

I think I found a bug in 5.19, it might have also been in 5.18.

When I get error 503 it just stays on the screen until I press a key, it doesnt auto reconnect.

I read somewhere it might be free. If not most companies offer free copies or discounts to the people that test it. I paid $50 for IM+ just a few weeks ago so I dont mind paying for programs if I need them.

Also does not return to the buddy list screen if you ping the server.

If you want to us IM+ with the better tcp/ip setting you cant use that if you have Tmobile USA. I forgot what I had to change it to but the new setting also worked with the browser.

I have been using the same setting since the first day I received my BB.

I can

1) IMs
2) browsers (including Opera)
3) use it as modem
4) lot of 3rd parties programs.

Default Build 0.5.20 Available

Build 0.5.20 is now available for download, same URL as 0.5.19. If you have 19 installed, you should be able to OTA upgrade directly from within the application.

What's in this build:

- Hyperlink support for URLs. In the chat window, the application will automatically scan messages for any "http://", "https://" or "www", and turn them into hyperlinks. Clicking on the hyperlink should automatically launch the BlackBerry browser. (Note, there is a bug that causes this to not work in the chat history view, which should be fixed in the next build).
- Bug fixes for non-buddy messages being dropped when the application is in the background.
- Compatibility with Pre-4.1 OS devices. (Note, this is NOT the blank screen bug)
- Much better auto-reconnect and 503 error handling
- New clustered servers with auto failover, so the client should no longer be affected by server recycling events.
- Alt-scroll for pg-up and pg-down in the buddy list on trackwheel devices. On the pearl, it's left/right with the track wheel.

I will send out an announcement to the beta distribution list shortly.

Kai

It is with the new build. It automatically kicks me out as soon as it happens.
