"Messages" Icon MIA

Howdy All!
Okay so I need some help...the universal messages icon on my 8703e went missing. It is not hidden, it just is gone. I tried to send the service books a few times and it didn't work.
Two days ago the same thing happened but when I resent the service books the icon came back.
This time it has not. Tried to restart it, tried to remove the battery.
Anyone know why my messages icon decided to take off?
