100% agree. I recently bought a $10 one off ebay that was advertised to work with 8100.. yeah sure doesn't. the button doesn't work, sound goes in and out and in an attempt to save a few dollars I've lost time and money.

Seller is refusing to refund, only exchange and now I'm settling it through paypal.

I'm looking for a set of earphones that has the mic built in but not way down (near plug) where the Seido one is. I thought I saw a set with the mic where the earphones split but can't seem to find it. Can anyone recommend any earphones that has a mic closer to the mouth? Thanks.

Are you following Seidio's instructions to plug the headphones into the adapter, then plug the adpter into the Pearl? If I do, I get perfect stereo every time. IF I do it backwards, I get mono, like you.

I have the Seidio adapter, and you have to do it like he says (or mono).

Jabra C220 - used by many in this forum. They are widely available online and retail. Sound quality is decent, most people like the fit and the price is right.

Perfect! Thanks!

One question... which would you all recommend? C220s or C120s?

I would reccomend the C220s, they seem to work everytime someone has bought them.

Does mono mean sound through only one headphone? I guess it makes sense(mono/one)

I DID do it the way they suggested...still forgot to try my E2's will do tonight...

Thumbs up

Alright, tried the adaptor last night with my Shure E2's and a pair of Sony MDR-Q22LP's, plugging the headphone into the adapter then the adapter into the pearl.

Both worked perfectly with stereo!!!

Thanks Guys

Is it safe to purchase this (seidio adapter) or is there really something coming out that would be available via radio shack at the end of the month??

I am looking to purchase a few for some coworkers and me.

I first tried an adapter from Radio Shack, only got sound out of one ear if I got sound at all. I took it back and tried another, same result. I saw another while walking through Target, it works great with my Bose ear phones. It even has a mic but I've not used it since my BT is always on.

Do you have a link to the one from Target?

Also I forgot if it was in tihs thread or another, that someone mentioned a new one would be available at Radio Shack at the end of Feb. I am not sure who the manufacturer is.

I do not have a link for the one I got from Target. I do know it's from 'Just Wireless'. Go to Target or look to E-Bay.

That was just what I'm looking for (the target adapter). I'd been thinking about trying the set that work with the LG Chocloate, but now I'll try this. I miss the setup that comes with the newer sony cell phones. with their own weird adapter at the phone end but a plain old 3.5 jack at the other. I just hope that has a long enough cord to get the mike up near a lapel as someone mentioned earlier.

How do you know this will work for the Pearl or Blackberry devices in general. Did you even read my OP? RIM devices won't work with any normal adapter at just any electronics store.

Im curious...who was the seller? I bought one off eBay and it didn't work at all, and the seller didn't refuse to refund, he just flat out didn't respond to my e-mails. And he's not responding to PayPal's e-mails, and if he doesn't respond by tomorrow, automatic refund for me. I'm just wondering if it's the same scam artist...
