i too also need help....i have a 8700c and tried with a 3rd party company and they don't have a code for me....can anyone else help? I can't call Cingular becuase I'm not a user? I live in Canada....can someone maybe call cingular for me? Any help would be much appreciated....

I have tried a couple of unlock companies and they say they cant unlock my BB8700v.

I am really stuck now. Can anyone help? GSMphonesource dont have it listed anywhere.

Hello everyone, I'm new here so go easy on me. I recently purchased a locked BB 8700g from T-Mobile UK. The problem is that there seem to be plenty of services willing to unlock the device from T-Mobile, but for T-Mobile USA. Can someone please tell me who can unlock my BB from T-Mobile UK? Or does that matter at all?

i just got 8700C from ebay and i found it needs Password. There are 10 attempts for it. How i solve this problem and i need to unloack this BB because i want to use T Mobile network.

jmellony, Welcome to the forums.

It sounds like you have two problems. First you'll need to enter the wrong password 10 times. That will wipe all the data from the BB. Once you've gained access you'll likely need to remove the IT policy from the device. See this thread.

Then you'll need to contact an unlocking service to get the BB unlocked to use on another network. Try GSM PhoneSource - When Only The Best Will Do or check the sponsor section of the forums for several reputable unlocking services.

I have been scammed by 3rd party sites offering unlocking services, and unlockblackberry was one of the sites. Never received my unlock code, nor a refund.

Ebay offers buyer protection, so i tried Mr.Unlocker, and i have no regrets:

Try asking your service provider to unlock your phone. Cingular doesn't charge for it.your provider should be able to do it even if you have to pay a nominal fee.
