Default Blackberry Messenger for 8800?

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded the blackberry messenger program and rebooted my 8800, however it didn't show up in my applications menu....I cant see the program in my application permissions folder, and I don't know how to run it. Can anyone help me find the proper download for blackberry messenger 8800?

Thanks
David

You sure it's not running? It's supposed to come up automatically on reboot. Here's how to tell...Alt+Esc will bring up the list of apps you currently have running. Keep holding Alt down and either roll the trackball, or each time you press and release Esc while keeping Alt down will cycle through your active applications. You should see the icon for BB Messenger there at all times, because it's an auto-start application that can't be stopped without uninstalling...

If it's a Cingular 8800, it should have it there already. My Cingular 8800 had it installed out of the box.

This is my BB 8800. There are many like it but this one is mine. My BB 8800 is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without my BB 8800 I am useless. Without me, my BB 8800... is still a bomb-a$$ device.

I have messenger on my blackberry but when I try to add a contact I select it from the address book but it brings up a box that says empty and no addresses rendering messenger useless.

Any thoughts

Did you reboot via alt-cap-del or by pulling the battery? If you didn't use the latter, give it a shot.

I had this same problem, tried to add contacts and it didn't work, so I reinstalled messenger, well low and behold it was the old version and doesn't work on my pearl so now it says it's loaded but it's not really there. I need the new version that I once had, only one that is not corrupt, where can I download this?
