Is there a way to connect an external antenna to the Pearl?

No. There are no such connections. The FCC approved the device to be used on the internal antenna only.

Have you purchased this product yet, or are you going to try it??? Are you looking for a portable product or something more permanent?? In vehicle or in house??

I have purchased and used a very good product for a perm install in my office. I would get zero reception at my desk, but I could get 5 bars on the roof. I installed a Wireless Extender YX500 at the office and then could get all 5 bars inside the building. I got it for about 180 on ebay and it works great.

Has anyone tried one of those stickers that say antenna boosters that you stick behind the battery? Sometimes when I buy accessories on eBay the seller sends one along for free and I usually throw it out.

There's a site somewhere that someone linked to with a study that shows these don't appear to work. However, some people on here swear that a bit of foil boosts the signal when placed between the batt/case. I tried this but it didn't seem to make much of a difference!

Has anyone tried the $29.99 device mentioned in the link above? Does it work? Am I reading correctly that you have to put a "sticky" type velcro pad on the Pearl?

Yes, I tried one. It's worthless.

What's strange is that since last week my T-Mobile signal back to 5 bars now!

They must have done something.
