It looks like when I activate a BB (using BES4.0), I can only see the contents of my inbox from the moment i activate and later. Is there a way that I can get to the older things in my inbox?

sorry this is such an easy question...i'm such a noob with the BB that there needs to be another name for people like me (idiot and fool were already taken). thanks.

Since I'm feeling generous tonight I'll answer without just point search links.

This is in IT policy I think. You can set it to provision up to 7days. Search around for it in there and you should get lucky.

i had seen that while i was poking around the server, it's set to 7 days already, yet i still can't see anything earlier. i guess it's supposed to work, but what about those messages that are older than seven days? am i SOL? thanks for the quick response.

Make sure you have all service packs and hotfixes installed I suppose.

open blackberry manager. right-click on your virtual server and click on blackberry server properties. pre-population tab. set it to 365 days and to a maximum of 200000 messages. that should piss some people off.

The maximum settings are 7 days and up to 350 messages.

The pre-population settings are global, so remember that.
