Default Photos Reappearing

Please Login to Remove!

I went through the v4 photos app and deleted all of the standard pictures that are on my 7100t. About a day later, however, they all seem to reappear. Anyone know if these are being pushed down from the network and if so how can I stop this from happening again. I just want to keep my own pictures in there and don't want to have to scroll through all of the stock pictures every time.

Thanks

Same here. After a hard reset, the pics were reloaded. Any help would be great.

Didn't even have to do a hard reset here. Left it overnight and they were all back in the am.

Yeah, same thing with a hard reset on my 7520. I'd love for someone to tell me how to remove those things permanently.

DM? Not sure what that is referring to. I don't want to delete the Photos app as I also have pics of family that I still want to be able to view. I just don't want to have to go through all the scenery shots in order to get to them.

I havent been able to find them I think they are in the permanent memory on the unit itself because I can delete them and do a hard reset and not sync and the pics are always there when I go to pic app

DM = Desktop Manager

I am not sure about the 7100 series, but I know that on the 7250, you can select which you want to "win" Handheld or Computer when you have made changes to your BB.
Although this is for email, it may be possible there is some sort of settings for pictures or just general "conflict resolution" for the 7100.

Check through all of the possible DM options as well as when you are viewing Pictures on your BB, click the trackwheel and see if you have an "Options" option.

Nope. No options in the Photos app itself or in the DM sync settings. The strange thing is that they're not reappearing as a result of a sync. They are re-appearing whether or not I sync with the desktop. I leave it overnight and all of a sudden they're all back in the morning. Maybe there just is no way to permanently delete the pics, although I do wish RIM would give us that option.

Yeah same issue on the 7520 I dont have to sync I dont have to get near a cable I just reboot my BB and they reappear. So that makes me think they are always going to be there.

I doubt we'll be privied to such abilities until we have direct access to the file system and whatnot. Clearing the Content Store (where these are located) still restores the pictures after the phone is rebooted.

This is a feature so you don't lose those precious factory photos

For those not doing a "reset" and having them come back... the BB may be doing a reset and you are unaware. Random resets do occur - infrequeently but they happen.
