Default Media player problems -- very odd

Please Login to Remove!

Just got a Pearl today. Successfully installed a MicroSD card. Uploaded a few folders worth of MP3s to the music/media card folder on my Pearl. I used both Mass Storage Mode (regular file system) to do the uploads as well as the Media Manager, which was a lot slower.

I can play back the MP3s fine. Problem is, I can only play back one song at a time.... It won't let me play an entire folder.

The help file on the Pearl says that it's possible to do this:

"To play all the songs in the media folder, press the Menu key. Click Play Folder."

Trouble is, when I go to a folder and press the menu key, this option doesn't appear in the menu.

What am I missing here? Is there some special trick? Is there some special type of configuration I need to go through to make a folder a "media folder"?

Help!

Thanks!

You have to go to a song in the folder to get the Play All option. Going to the folder won't show it. You don't have to play the song, just highlight it in the folder and go to menu.

Has anyobdy had this problem:

When music is being on media player, and a call comes in (normally the phone will put the music on pause until either the call is answered or ignored),my pearl does not mute or pause the music instead i answer the call and i have music in the background plus i hear the caller.

Any ideas what the hell is going on?

Actually.. I don't have THAT problem.. but mine seems to freeze up and pause the music, and display the hour glass. I think it's "thinking" whether this person is good enough to be allowed to call my phone or something.
