Is there any way to prevent application modules from being removed when installing an application? For instance, I'm installing the driver for an Apriva Smart Card Reader on my 7290. App loader then states that it will add the driver, but then states:


Unrecognized modules that will be removed:
BBToday
BBToday_weatherimages
InstantMessaging


How can I prevent those apps from being removed?

You have to add those apps to App Loader.

make sure they are checked when loading the other software

If you delete the .alx and .cod files from the directory you first added them to the blackberry from, the Desktop Manager will remove the files. If you've deleted these files you can either replace them where you first installed them from, or add them from the new location on your next application sync.

Thanks for the replies. I've added the software again, and was told no actions required. I was then able to add the smart card reader driver without the other apps being removed. Not sure why the apps weren't on the app list anymore because the installation folders were still the same path.
