I throw myself upon the alter of the blackberry user forum...

I was sending a MSM and it froze... but someone called me at the same time. It rang, but I couldn't pick it up. After it unfroze, the "Missed Call" remained.

I mean, it never goes away. Not after I wiped the log. not after I changed the theme. just that stupid x1 icon.

I've searched the forums. I've read the manual. please, someone, anyone...help!

Have you tried a battery pull? Take the batt out, wait 30 sec, put the batt back in.

sounds basic, but have you tried taking the battery out and doing a reset?

oh yeah... battery pull for mintes... reset sim card the works...

has anyone heard of this? is there a way to reboot the software? or clear a cache?

Are you sure it is the MMS alert icon? They are tiny... I have users all the time asking me to clear an alert icon - that turns out to be for the web browser -- saved page request - which you can find and remove in your message list.

Check your camera settings if you sett it to large it will take some time and then you had a phone call at same time,just like with an older PC if the prosser speed is slow it will lock up as well. Just my 2 cents

I found a program called softreset for the pearl. I don't remember where but I bet if you search you may find it. It allows you to reset the pearl like you took the battery out without actually having to take out the battery. I love it because I have the krusell leather case that zips shut. Taking the battery out would be a big hassle.
