ok...I wasn't sure how to even do a search on this idea...My mom has a BB 8100 pearl (Cingular) without any BB services like BIS or BES (she doesn't really use them) I have an 8800 with BIS (Cingular). My question is this... can I do BB messenger with her PIN if she doesn't have BES or BIS? and if so, is it free for her? I've never uses BB messenger only regular IM+ or SMS texting. Some help on this would be great!!

The BB messenger uses Data to transmit and receive. With no BB data plan, you won't be able to use PIN to PIN.
