Why can't you send it to yourself?

actually i can, i just dont know a way to get the users email-adress automatically.

what i can do:
i receive the sms. i read the sms. i can create a message containing the sms and of course i can send it, at the moment to a hardcoded adress.
it shows up in the sent-items and of course in the inbox of the receipent.
i dont know how to store a configuration otherwise i could store the receipents adress so that you just have to configure the application once.

i think it would be quite nice to get sms-messages forwarded to your outlook/notes and i saw quite some people looking for it, if somebody likes to help feel free to contact me here or via sh*@*bfinet.de (ignoring *)

Get the defal email with:
Session.getDefaultInstance().getServiceConfigurati on().getEmailAddress())

Send the message using Message:
Session.getDefaultInstance().getTransport().send(t heMessage);

This will always send with the default email instance though, which is typically good enough. Note that there could also be a typing issue at startup - there is a function to wait for the service configuration to become ready.

Thank you very much, the session-get was exactly the way i was looking for. Sending the message was already working, i just added this one line instead of the hardcoded adress i was using and its working now.

i am adding some interface now (stopping the program etc.) but in general my application is working and doing the exact thing i wanted. hooray!

i'll announce it here when its finished, i think we will publish it as some kind of shareware (or free with donation or something) as it uses quite some signed objects. (means $100 to buy the signing license)
