Ola-

I've searched the threads like a good girl, but here is my quandry:

I haven't been receiving my email from my .mac account for 5 days. I can send from my .mac account on my BB, but nothing gets in.

I've:

-pulled out the battery whilst the phone was on (soft reset?)
-deleted and added the email account
-sent the service books
-re-registered the host routing table

I have the detested PocketMac app (which is nice to install apps) and the Missing Sync (which I'm having connection problems with). Oh, and I have TMo.

Any advice from you tech gods is greatly appreciated.

p.s.

I've recently reconfigured the TCP to wap.voicestream.com to run Opera Mini

Ola, all what you have done should really do it.

Try this also... again, pulling the battery AFTER you have re-sent SBs and Re-Registered from the HRT.

So how is LaLa Land? I come there to visit often.

Oh--have you DELETED the service books FROM the 8100, and then had them re-sent as well?

*runs and does all that stuff*

LaLa is beautiful-sunny and mid 70's!

*edit*

Ok...I'm a dummy-I don't see a "delete" on the menu for service books...

In your Service Book list...highlight over the one you wish to delete. Press Menu, I believe. You should have the Delete option, as well as VIEW and CLOSE.

Oh, durrrr...

I was going through the Set-up Wizard to access the service books rather than good ole Options.

*pulls out the battery yet again*

Set up my gmail account as well and sent a message to that and the mac from my hotmail account. Nothing so far. Guess I'll wait for 1/2 hour...

I also deleted about 200 emails in the mac account (there's about 70 left) to open it up.

Not sure if this works the same as outlook but the last time I stoped geting emails my outlook was set to NOT leave messages on the server...changing that setting to 1 day made everything good again...

Bill, has yours stopped altogether, like Pkittie.

Delayed or slow is a different thing, could be gmail. But gmail is normally instant.

It won't hurt to do any of the above... nonetheless.

Hm. Nada.

So I'm gonna delete, add, rinse, repeat. Messages are left on the server.

Right now, my BB hasn't any problems sending out anything from .mac, gmail or blackberry.

It's just not receiving any emails. Waah!

Server is verrrry slow right now.

Bill W- do you have TMo?

pkittie, when you did the registration on HRT, did you get a Registration message from TMo?

Can you use you PIN to receive a message or access the browser?

I did get a Reg message from TMo on the phone text.

Strangely, 6 hours later, I did get emails for all 3 accounts. However I didn't notice it until AFTER I did all this stuff again (I accidentally had phone on vibrate). I didn't notice the usual alerts, so I'm going to check that out.

But now, I'm waiting to see if I get any emails again. The browser is the slowest that I've ever seen it (although I don't access it much when I'm at home, I know that my building is death for any tv/radio reception).

Bill, you can get NO email, PIN message, SMS, etc.?

Have you tried receiving all types?

Can you send all types?

Text(SMS) and PIN messages, yesh. Email, no. Maybe I don't have any internet reception at all in my apartment.

When I got those emails yesterday, I was out of the apartment (been spending at lot of time at home). Going out to lunch today, I'll report back.

pkittie, have someone send a few to you this morning... and while you are lunch. With a signal, you should receive them within 15-20 minutes. Likewise, do you have a [email address] address? Have some test emails sent to that address... it comes DIRECTLY to your BB, not through a third-party email server like .mac, etc. If that works, there is a error in your email setup somewhere.

Let's try to narrow down the problem. Knowing you are receiving SMS and PIN messages helps a lot.

Well I checked my firewall, and for some reason, the Blackberry internet service was disabled! After unchecking that, I got emails for all 3 accounts. YAY!!!

Bill- you might want to try this-I got this from the support on the (official) Blackberry site:

The firewall on the BlackBerry device is set to block incoming messages from the BlackBerry Internet Service.

Resolution
Change the firewall setting on the BlackBerry device by completing the following steps:

* On the BlackBerry device, go to Options and click on Security.
* Set the firewall to allow BlackBerry Internet Service email messages.

I hope that's your problem too. Here's the linky: BlackBerry Search Results

Master JSanders-thank you for all your suggestions and support!
