Does anyone know whats up with tmo and the 8800? Its been sold out and they have no idea when/if they are getting more. Is this a good sign they are getting the 8300 soon? Its really annoying me!

jetboy, you get a different answer according to what TMo department you speak with... "New Activations" had them on Friday, "Upgrades" did not--backordered as you stated.

Whether or not it is a sign of anything, is a good guess. The only fact is that they are using the 8800 for attraction of new activations, and somewhat less interested in current customers.

I type faster on my 8800 keyboard than I did on the 8700, and I love feel of the keys.

To answer the OP: T-Mo never gave a damn about customers they already had. But they love getting shiny new customers and will gladly bend over backwards for them. So if you are trying to upgrade, good luck... they will give priority to new activations.
