Did not think the headphone jack for the 8800 felt very substantial but it worked fine with my Seidio adapter - for about 2 weeks and now it has died. Anyone else have a problem or know if anything can be done to fix it?

My phone and stereo earpieces worked fine for about a day with my seidio adaptor and then it quit working as well. Went by the local cingular store and we tested the seidio adaptor on a new 8100 and low and behold the adaptor was not working well with it either. Like it was not seating in the phone because you could turn slightly and it would play normal and stereo and yet with slightest movement it would be almost silent. I have talked with the good folks at Seido and they are suppose to be advising when I will be getting my new adaptor. My phone works ok with the bb supplied single non-stereo earpiece. I did notice when I first got my seido adaptor that it rattled slightly in the area where you click to accept phone call. Wondewr if this has anything to do with it.

I found that to ber the case with the OEM blackberry strero headset. I used the headset from the Samsung music phone and it worked a whole lot better.

I had probs with the seido adapter. It broke off in my 8800 (it was always really tight). I tried to get them to send me another one, but they wouldn't unless I went through this RMA process.....really, an RMA process for what probably costs them $1.50....LAME! needless to say, I do not have an adapter.

I called Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning and talked with customer service about my problem with the adaptor and the lady took my information and was very nice, she said I would be getting an email (I assumed within 24 to 48 hours) advising me whether I needed to send my adaptor back or if they would be shipping me a new one without me returning the defective one. Went very smooth and not a problem if they want me to ship it back but I have not recieved email yet. I guess they are busy shipping the super covers they sell. I have seriously enjoyed mine. And the adaptor when it is turned just so produces nice sound thru both of earpieces so I am looking forward to trying a replacement adaptor.
