I have had mine for a little over a month. I am 22yrs old. I don't really see the point in these young kids getting such a phone. I work for a very large corporation so having my calendar and contacts synched is very important and I also have the unlimited data for email usage. I guess to each his own but without a legitimate business purpose I feel like people buy a BB just to look cool...it doesn't work.

Criminey. When I was 15 there was not such thing as a wireless land line, let alone a cell phone. And my 15yr old could care less about his cell phone...but I bet he'd use a Blackberry. If only I wasn't such an evil witch and said 'no' when he asked me for one....

That's what's called 'tough love'. As in "Tough - you're too young, get over it".

Im sorry but what do 10 and 11 year olds need with a device the caliber of a pearl.
I cant see the need for kids that age to even have cell phones. Man kids are way to spoiled these days. My kids dont get cell phones until they are atleast in high school. And they are prepaid so if they run out of minutes tough shouldnt have used the cell phone while you are at home thats why i pay ma bell 50 bucks a month.

I fully agree with the point made above. Unless you are using an unlimited data plan for a real real there is no need to have such a phone. I know that kids in high school and even college think they look super badass with a blackberry but for them it just makes calls. The calendar, reminders, and email are so crucial for me and if I didn't have this job I would just look like another tool with a phone too powerful for my needs.

I don't see why the blackberry shouldn't be as easy to use as any other phone. What does age have to do with it? I use it as it has all the functions I mainly use on my desktop/laptop without me having to power it up.

So what's the age limit for kids to start using computers? What's too young?

btw im 27

It has nothing to do with being able to use it. I am asking what are the needs of a 10 year old to have a cell phone, much less a 300 to 400 blackberry.

I didn't even think that kids use the internet until they're 15 or 16.
