Default Google talk?

Did this new version fix the google talk "sign out" problem? I can't seem to sign out of google talk (chat) correctly after I upgraded to 4.2

Default reboot and login time

I upgraded today. Nice interface. Seems a bit faster. Like the media player - cool.

Anyone have any issues with long wait times coming out of a reboot? I am seeing the hourglass for a long time after entering my password to get the device unlocked.

Booting times seems to be longer, yes.

Default Ugh...

So after playing around with 4.2, I decided I didn't care for it too much. There were some delays that I wasn't expecting. For example,

Sitting at my desk I would call my BB from my work phone and it would ring 1-2 times on the earpiece, yet no incoming call would show up! An hourglass spun and THEN the call would show up. I didn't care for this.

Not to mention some other minor gripes that I didn't care for. So after I tried to roll back to the previous 4.1, I seriously hosed my BB to the point where I had the 543 message with the "no smoking" sign as the only screen that would show up... I'm trying to fight it to get 4.1 back, but its being troublesome.

Finally - WAV file capability:
I installed 8700 OS 4.2.1.149/4.2.1.94 last night and am pleased to report that I can now listen to .wav files sent from my voicemail system (evoice). When delivered as regular messages, I cannot listen to the attachments, but by having evoice send directly to my MMS mailbox, I can listen to them just like the voicenote capability.

Default Volume Change ?

Well, I'm on Cingular and have to wait for v4.2. However, I wanted to ask if v4.2 changes the gain table for the ear and speaker volumes to allow louder ? My 8700c v4.1 is almost un-usable in noisy environment.

"GSM only"
as against CDMA from Verizon, Sprint & Telus (etc.).

Does this version work with Blackberry messenger? It says device not supported when I try to install over at Blackberry.com. I find the messenger more useful than the other new enhancements.

Any comments or observations ? Am I the only one who thinks the ear piece and speaker max volumes are low ?

Are you on the most recent version of 4.1 for Cingluar (Package 4.1.0.529, Platform 2.0.0.152)?

The speakerphone and earpiece volumes were increased significantly from the original release (Package 4.1.0.175, Platform 2.0.0.90).

If you're on the original OS, try downloading here
