I'm new to Blackberry, just had mine for 5 days. Love it so far but I can't get it to recognize most BT devices. I used the Moto HS 850 for over a year with my Razr and I liked it, but I can't get a pairing with my Pearl. I know the Pearl BT works because it does recognize the dongle for my mouse and keyboard. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Put the headset into pairing mode, then on the Pearl go to Options > Set up BT > OK. When the Pearl detects the headset, put in 0000 as a code (if asked for).

No luck, I'm afraid, BT is enabled and it recognizes that stupid dongle, but no headset. Thanks, anyway!

I have had the Plantronics Voyager 510 for $80 from T-Mobile for my Pearl for a month now. People have told me I sound much better on the headset than the device. I like it because the ear piece fits into your ear and helps in noisy environments instead of resting on the outside of your ear. Very pleased and would recommend. Cnet.com had good reviews.

The problem tho' is that for this reason, the GN6210 does not maintain a sustained BT connection to the cell phone. If not in use, the connection drops, and you have to manually send a call from the phone to the BT should you want to use it.

I really liked the 'over the ear' design, but hated having to send the call from the phone to the BT every time. As a result, I went an bought a Jabra BT500. Anyone have any experience with this?
I'm about to get the Jabra BT500. What's your experience with it and the Pearl?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

This might sound crazy but resync the headset with it 7 to 10 feet away from the pearl I did this with my jawbone and it worked really good and now it never looses sync when before it would loose connection 2 inches away from the phone but try that and see if it works

Personally, I LOVE my Samsung WEP200. I owned 2 Motorola H500's and a Jabra something and had issues with them.

You can e-bay the Samsung, like I did for about $25.

That's my 2¢

Default Hs 805

Anybody know why I can't pair my Moto HS805 with my 8703e? It works with my other phones but the BB won't recognize it...

thanks

Although I haven't used it yet (plan on buying one), the Aliph Jawbone gets good reviews, and will allow your husband to speak quietly in public.

Will your Jawbone activate the voice dialing while the BB (pearl) is in the holster (standby mode)
Thanks
