My Pearl locked up as well... I did a battery pull to reset it, and then I was able to use the program again, enter in my location ID and now it works great! One-click weather reports!

Note: In the USA, entering a zipcode as the Location ID will work.
It didn't for me. Some sort of "bad link" or "bad URL" error, I forget the exact wording. I had to look up my Location ID using ASP.NET Resources.

ASP.NET Resources - Determine location ID for the weather server control

Anyone else get this problem?

I believe the setting should be:
on BIS = MDS disabled
on BES = MDS enabled

Pull the battery and reboot. Often I need to "update" in order for BBWeather to work, after it gives the error you are getting.

SWAG - had to add the APN information under the TCP section of advanced in order to get it to work.
