Default Deleting multiple e-mail messages?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to delete multiple e-mail messages on the BB 7100t? When I am in the office, I like to check my e-mail on my computer. But once I have done that, I still have to go in and delete several e-mail messages from the BB. Is there an easier way to do that than selecting the message and then scrolling down to delete?

Better yet, is there a way to turn off receipt of e-mails while I'm in the office and checking e-mail on my computer?

Thanks!

Hold the shift key and rotate the thumbwheel to select multiple messages; hit delete key. Or....highlight the date, click thumbwheel, choose 'Delete Prior' from menu.

While in messages app, click thumbwheel, select 'Options', highlight 'Email Settings', click thumbwheel and chnage option for 'Send Email To Handheld" to NO.

PS: answers could have also been found with a quick search. Both questions are frequently asked and answered.

Thanks for the response. I actually did several searches but unless you know the terminology everyone else is using you come up with nothing. Searching "Delete multiple e-mail messages" comes up with nothing relevant.

Thanks again for the response. The holding shift answer worked well!

On turning off receiving messages, when I go to the e-mail app and click the wheel I get Email Reconciliation but not Email Settings. When I try to turn Email reconciliation to Off, I get an error saying that I can do that.

Do I have an older OS on this phone?

Not trying to beat a dead horse, but this is a good case on how to use any search engine - I typed in "Delete messages" and found hits, but "Delete multiple e-mail messages" was a bit too specific

Thanks again for the responses. I think those will help.

And the point is a good one about being too detailed in searching. I use search engines about 4-5 hours per day in my job and have gotten too used to putting in too much information because otherwise the search returns too many results. In a case like this where there aren't millions of pages to search through, you're definitely right that it would have been better for me to be more general. Thanks for your patience as I learn the in's and out's of the forum and the BB in general.
