Default Track Wheel not depressing (clicking)

Please Login to Remove!

All over sudden my trackwhell will not depress (click). I have figured out how to use the keyboard for most of the stuff, but cant figure out how to bring up the menu (example how to send a text once typed). Does anyone know how to use the keyboard to pull up menu's or had this track wheel problem before

Also, the phone takes about 15 minuted to power up. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I've had this happen a couple of times on our 7290s - once it was due to an accumulation of dust and lint (opening it up and cleaning with compressed air fixed that), another time it was just plain broken (had to exchange the main board - didn't find a way to replace just the wheel).

I would be interested in this as well. My 8703's track wheel is real "slippery", when you scroll it sometimes goes the opposite direction, sometimes when you press it in...it scrolls up or down and you miss your target......i think over use has really hurt it!!!

is there an easy fix to this problem?

thanks in advance...

Have you checked your warranty?

Yeah, try cleaning with compressed air or getting a replacement under warranty.
