Did you format it? I formatted my card on my laptop, but it wasn't seen by the phone. Go to Options>Advanced Options>Media Card -> press menu button -> Format Card

You should then be able to see it through any of the Buttons through the Media application as "Media Card" or through DM>Media Manager as Media Card. If you use Roxio Media Manager, you need to enable Mass Storage Mode.

Like he said. If you are having trouble you can also manually create the folders since two of them are already there.

Put your MicroSD chip into the SD adapter that came with the chip.

Put the SD adapter and chip into your USB reader [I assume you have one] connected to the PC .

Open up the chip's folder via Explorer.

Click the "Blackberry"

Create a subfolder called "music" and another called "videos".

Also I would enable mass storage so that when you hook up the Pearl with a USB cable Windows will recognize the Pearl as a drive.

Then you can transfer files into the music folder without opening Desktop Manager.

You want to transfer using Windows Explorer because it is way faster than using Desktop Manager.

To set the Pearl up to use the MicroSD card as a drive [via your PC]:

<settings>

<advanced options>

<Media Card>

Turn <Media Card Support> to 'on'

Turn <Mass Storage Mode Support> to 'on'

Set <Auto Enable Mass Storage...> to 'yes'

click <escape> key [key to right of trackball] to get to <save> option

Scroll to 'yes' and click trackball to save the settings.

Besides the new roxio is lame. It doesn't even recognize half my videos. Roxio has always blown chunks. I was light years ahead of this program already. I have many MTV videos and mp3's and acc's pics, files you name it and the videos and music all play fine. I'm really sad about the roxio add-on.
