The trackball won't scroll down, only up or sideways. Sticks often and just won't move. Light on trackball doesn't come on or its very dim.

When music is playing in media player, the music constantly stops or pauses by itself and the voice calling thing comes on by itself and says "say a command" over and over again.

I didn't know what to search for or what the problem is. Can someone help me and tell me how to fix this. Thank you.

Sound like your trackball might be dirty. Search the forum and you should come across a number of different methods to clean the trackball.

You might have a defective device as well. After cleaning, if the other symptoms come up, you may try pulling the battery and testing again. If that doesn't work, you may need to wipe the device and reload the handheld OS. If the unit still displays awkward behavior it might be time to replace the unit via the warranty, if you have it.

Thanks d_fisher and Jeremy for the helpful replies. I did clean the trackball. It works much better now even though it now lags when I'm rolling it upwards.

Maybe ice dropped the phone one too many times. I've had the phone for 6 months. Don't know if its still under warranty.

I will wait and see if the problems still persist.

You should have a 1 year warranty. I'd skip telling them the part about how many times you've dropped it though...

If you read my original post there is a lot more wrong with my phone than a dirty trackball.
