Default Interesting issue....

Please Login to Remove!

I'm pretty sure this is my first post but I've been lurking for awile now...I've searched the forum and haven't found a resolution to my problem.

We have 6 Sprint BB 8830's on BES with Exchange. 5 of them are working fine...one will not synchronize INTERNAL mail. Mail from an external source shows up fine, but even sending a message via the BES manager will not show up unless it's a PIN message.

Any suggestions?

so mail from:

[email address] --> [email address] gets delivered to the mailbox and to the HH ...

but mail from: [email address] --> [email address] gets delivered to the mailbox and not the HH?

or it gets delivered, just reads / deletes / filing doesn't get sync'd?

BES Version & Exchange Version?

BES 4.1.4.5/EXCHANGE 2K3 SP2

Correct.

[email address] syncs fine with the BB.
[email address] to [email address] never syncs.

The message gets sent, and delivered to the exchange account. The user can read the message in his inbox, it just never hits the BB.

are there any filters setup on the HH (Check the BES Mgr too)? an email is an email and only filters should be deciding what does / doesn't make it to the HH?

negative. no filters on BES manager or HH.

check user accout in BES manager and make sure redirection is enabled?
and on HH, under email options, wireless reconcile is on?

if there aren't any rules in this persons mailbox either, try sending a message with <confirm> in the subject of the message to see if the handheld received it ... other than that, open up the MAGT (and ALRT) logs and look for any troubles with this user.

With that we'd then go into the DISP logs to see if there are any problems with transit of messages.

Redirection is enabled for that user in BES manager and wireless reconcile is set on, on the HH.

There may be some rules set in his Outlook settings on his workstation....but I'm not sure...I'll have to try sending a message with the confirm tag in it. I looked in the MAGT, ALRT, and DISP logs and didn't see anything too unusual.

Meh....this is frustrating.

make sure the handheld isnt plugged into the users workstation if they have desktop manager.
